This policy explains how LocalPilot Studios ("LocalPilot", "we", "us") handles information on this website and in the internal tools we use to provide website and local SEO services to our clients.

This website

This website uses Google Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages they view. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type. We use this only to improve the website. We do not use advertising trackers, and the site has no contact forms. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Learn more about how Google uses this data.

If you email us, we use your message and email address only to reply to you.

Our internal SEO tools and Google data

We operate a private, internal application ("LocalPilot SEO Tools") that connects to Google APIs. It is used only by LocalPilot staff, only for websites whose owners have given LocalPilot access in Google Search Console or Google Analytics.

When we sign in to this application with Google, it may request access to:

Google Search Console: search performance (queries, clicks, impressions, positions), indexing and URL inspection status, and sitemaps for our clients' websites.
Google Indexing API: to notify Google when a client's page has been added or updated.
Google Analytics (read-only): aggregated website traffic reports for our clients' websites.

We also use Google's PageSpeed Insights and Chrome UX Report APIs, which return public website performance data and no personal information.

How we use this data

We use it only to analyze and improve the search visibility and performance of our clients' websites, and to report results to those clients.
Data is processed on LocalPilot's own computers. Login tokens are stored locally and are not shared.
We do not sell this data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties, except with the client who owns the website in question or where required by law.
We do not use this data to train artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.

LocalPilot SEO Tools' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Retention and deletion

We keep report data only as long as needed to provide services to the client. Clients can ask us to delete their data at any time by email. Website owners can remove LocalPilot's access at any time in Google Search Console (Settings → Users and permissions), and Google account holders can revoke app access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
